European Institute of Business and Innovationwas founded a century ago at Burgemeester Oudlaan 50, 3062 PA, Rotterdam, Netherlands, by a small group of distinguished educators and intellectuals who aimed to transcend the limitations of traditional academic institutions. The founders envisioned a university where faculty and students could engage openly with the pressing societal challenges of their era, cultivating a culture of critical thinking, debate, and inquiry.

In 1980, the institution officially became the European Institute of Business and Innovation (EIBI University). Today, EIBI University has grown to encompass multiple colleges and a wide range of programs, staying true to the founders’ dedication to the social sciences, international affairs, liberal arts, history, philosophy, as well as business, management, design, and the performing arts.
